Cybersecurity & Recovery
Know what you are exposed to, reduce it, and be able to restore the business when something still gets through.
What this covers
Two halves of the same job: lowering the chance of an incident, and shortening the one you eventually have.
- Assessment & remediationA concrete picture of current exposure, then the work to close the gaps in priority order
- Identity & accessMulti-factor authentication, permission structure and privileged access held to a defined standard
- Threat monitoringContinuous monitoring with an agreed response path, so alerts reach someone accountable
- Incident preparationResponse plans and runbooks written before they are needed, not during the incident
- Backup & recoveryBackup design, retention that matches the obligation, and restores proven by testing
Recovery is tested, not assumed
A backup that has never been restored is an assumption. We design the backup, run the restore, and record how long it took and what it produced.
That result is what tells you whether your recovery plan matches what the business can actually tolerate losing.
How it is delivered
This work is delivered as Cybersecurity Shield, on top of a managed environment. Hardening, patching and access control are already baseline in Managed IT Essentials; continuous threat monitoring, incident response and compliance support are the scoped additions here.
Regulated environments carry extra obligations. Our plain-English guides explain what HIPAA, PCI-DSS and other frameworks require. They are educational material, not a claim of certification or guaranteed compliance.
How this connects to the rest of the environment
Protective controls are applied to the systems under management, and restores are planned and tested against the documentation of that environment. This work sits on top of the operational layer rather than beside it.
- Managed IT & Infrastructure — the systems these controls are applied to
- Architecture & Technical Leadership — the decisions that determine how much exposure you carry in the first place
How an engagement starts
Every engagement starts with a conversation about your environment. If there is a fit, we agree the scope and the fee for an assessment before any work begins.
The assessment establishes what exists today, what is exposed, and what needs correcting first. You receive an overview of the environment, a prioritized list of risks and gaps, and a practical remediation roadmap.
